⭐☆☆☆☆ I rarely post negative reviews, but this experience deserves public accountability. Earlier in the afternoon, I called AHF Pharmacy – Hillcrest and was given a specific time when my prescription would be ready. I was under a strict time constraint, so I relied on that information and arranged my schedule accordingly. I arrived approximately 30 minutes after the promised pickup time, only to learn that my medication had not even been started. I then waited outside in the heat, and it still was not available. Delays can happen. What is unacceptable is giving patients a fulfillment time that the pharmacy is not prepared to honor. Had I been told the truth about the delay, I could have made other arrangements. Instead, I lost valuable time and was left waiting for medication that should have already been prepared. This is not ordinary retail. Patients depend on pharmacies for medically necessary prescriptions, often while managing illness, pain, mobility limitations, transportation challenges, or strict dosing schedules. Accurate communication is part of patient care—not an optional customer-service courtesy. After reviewing other public feedback, my experience appears consistent with recurring concerns about delays and poor communication. That should concern leadership. Prescription business is financially significant, and patients have choices. There are several other pharmacies nearby that would likely be more than willing to provide reliable service, honest expectations, and respect for a patient’s time. AHF Pharmacy needs to review its workflow, staffing, accountability, and communication practices. Trust is earned by doing what you say you will do. In this instance, that trust was not earned.

Today AHF really came through for me in an exceptional way, getting pain killers prescribed just this morning delivered by this afternoon. My need was urgent and AHF saved me. Also, AHF sponsors weekly Serenity Yoga sessions on Wdnesdsy afternoons, has sponsored yoga rereats in the past and is a tremendous supporter of Pozabilities. Their commitment to PLWH is unsurpassed.

AHF Pharmacy – Flagship San Diego stands out immediately for its thoughtful, modern architecture. The space feels open, calm, and intentionally designed, which makes a real difference when visiting a healthcare facility. It does not feel rushed or clinical—it feels welcoming and well considered. Beyond the aesthetics, this location functions as a comprehensive community health resource. Services are clearly organized, the environment is clean and professional, and the overall layout makes navigation easy, even for first-time visitors. The design supports privacy and comfort, which is especially important in a medical setting. This flagship location reflects care not just in the services provided, but in how people are treated while accessing them. A well-designed, approachable, and dependable pharmacy and health services center that clearly prioritizes dignity, accessibility, and quality.
