ADA & accessibility statement

Hillcrest.guide is built to be usable by everyone in the neighborhood, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced for ADA compliance.

What we've done

• · Semantic headings, landmarks and lists so screen readers can navigate every page
• · A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element
• · Visible focus outlines on every link, button, field and control
• · Text and interface colors checked against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios
• · Descriptive alternative text on photographs and labels on every form field
• · Keyboard-operable filters, search and claim flow — no mouse required
• · Layouts that reflow to 320px wide and tolerate 200% text zoom
• · Live regions that announce search results and current conditions
