Delicious authentic Vietnamese cuisine! The service is spectacular and the food was stellar. We were amazed by the hand painted murals on every wall. All corners of this restaurant tell the coherent story of Saigon, especially their hidden alley!

Want to visit Vietnam without a plane ticket? Head to Saigon Alley. I was there on opening night, August 20, and it is the real deal in every way. The food menu is limited for now, but after learning about the plans ahead, I can already say it has become one of my favorites. The pho, rolls, and broken rice dishes are authentic and bursting with fresh flavors. The service, even on a busy first night, was impeccable. My photos only show some of the food from my to-go order, and honestly, everything looked and smelled so good that we had already eaten half of it before I remembered to take pictures! Now, let’s talk ambiance. If I hadn’t known we were in Hillcrest, I would have felt transported to Saigon and Hoi An. My last visit to Vietnam was at the onset of COVID, and I can’t wait to return. Until then, I can get my fix right here in the neighborhood. I’ve posted lots of photos of the wonderful decor and art. In fact, I compared it to my Tet photos from February 2020, and wow — the colors burst from the walls. The scenes depicted, the tables and seating, and the feeling of an authentic Saigon alley all evoked that same sense of wonder and sensory overload — in the best way. And then there are the smells: fresh-grilled, elevated street food filling the air. Don’t close your eyes for a second. It’s an awakening. Their grand opening is coming soon, and the menu will evolve to highlight true treasures, including authentic, unique grilled items and even escargot presentations! (Hint: Thi/Duke--the manager--promised a lion dance to welcome and bless the official launch.) In the meantime, run, don't walk, to check it out. Judging from the busy walk-in business on the first night, it's going to be a huge hit from true restaurant pros who've poured their hearts and souls into every detail!

Really cute new Vietnamese spot that’s currently doing a soft open! The interiors are super cute, the service was really friendly, and they even have a little robot guy delivering the food to your table. I had the beef and shrimp spring rolls, which were really good, and the beef fried rice. The beef was especially good: really well marinated, tender, and not chewy at all. Excited to see this place fully open!

Amazing Vietnamese food! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. The dishes were fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly seasoned. The service was warm and welcoming, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Definitely one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I’ve tried. Highly recommend—you won’t be disappointed! 🇻🇳❤️
