  Alexs is a master tailor. He altered two vintage dresses for me, taking them out a lot. When one didn't quite fit the way that I wanted, he turned the alterations around in a day. I'm thrilled with his work, and I will take my tailoring to him from now on. (And a plus for Hillcrest--he has parking!)

  Friendly and professional staff who consistently do a fantastic job. I’ve brought all of my pants and skirts here for alterations and have always been happy with the results. Highly recommend! ☺️

  This place absolutely earned a negative review. I brought a few pairs of pants here based on the online reviews and really regret it. I dropped off several pants for a simple length measurement and hem and paid a pretty penny for the work. All of them came back noticeably too long, even though I had Alex measure them. Annoying, but fixable in theory. The bigger problem was the quality. The bottom hem stitching on multiple legs was sloppy, and on one pair the fabric was not even pressed straight, which made the hem look visibly crooked. It was obvious the work was rushed and poorly done. On top of that, one pair came back with a large snag on the front outside pocket that was not there when I dropped them off. These pants were brand new and unworn. That pair was basically ruined and ended up being donated. Given the lukewarm, uninterested attitude at the outset and everything that followed, I decided not to bother going back to argue about it. Instead, I took the pants to another tailor and paid again to have the hems done correctly. For the prices charged, the workmanship and customer service were nowhere near acceptable. None of this should have happened. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place for alterations.

  Alex Alterations Alex does more than alterations, he creates magic. The first time I met him was years ago, right before Covid. He helped me with one of my wedding dresses and my mom’s Mother of the Bride dress. For me, he opened up my back and made everything fit in all the right places. He did something similar to my mom and she looked stunning! However, I write this review to praise his above and beyond quality of work and customer service. I had a brilliant idea to turn the train from my baby shower dress in to the princess drapes that would hang over my baby girls crib. My shower wasn’t until the month before I was due, so I had this brilliant idea only weeks before her arrival. At the time, Alex had so many alteration requests he was backed up for many months. (I’m talking more than 6, so that right there also shows how good he is at his work. People wait that long bc he’s worth it!) However, I told him my idea and since he is a family first kind of guy, he made magic happen. He worked longer hours just to make my vision come to life and give my 1st baby her perfect princess crib. Thank you, Alex, for your talent, hard work and kind heart. You will forever be remembered in our home and I appreciate you!!!
